This project was heavily inspired by Galatians 2:20 and Romans 6 — about dying to our old selves so that Christ can live through us.

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” — Galatians 2:20 NASB

"...We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin... Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. — Romans 6:6–7,12 NLT

That’s what Die to Self is about: denying ourselves, dying to our flesh, and becoming a new creation in Christ.

"No Land Is Free" is a song I wrote in honor of Charlie Kirk — a husband, a father, a brother in Christ who was taken from us far too soon. He was a man who stood boldly for Truth in a world that hates it.

Let's remember how Charlie lived. He lived bold. He lived unashamed of the gospel. He spoke truth with conviction and compassion. He has emboldened me to live the way he lived — with eyes fixed on Jesus and a heart fixed on eternity. Jesus is the only way. The only One who redeems every sin. The only One who gives eternal life. And He’s the only thing worth fixing our eyes on right now. Yes, we may lose followers. We may lose friends. But Jesus lost followers too.

“...Many of His disciples left, and would no longer walk with Him. So Jesus said to the twelve, 'You do not want to leave also, do you?' Simon Peter answered Him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.'” — John 6:66–68 NASB

So let’s rise up. Let’s be bold. Let’s not waste another day worried about what the world thinks. Let’s use our voices, our gifts, our platforms, whatever God has given us, to point people to the hope of the gospel. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about us. It’s not about followers. It’s about Jesus. Always has been. Always will be. Keep your eyes on Him.

"Stray" is a song off of my last album, Risen.

It was super cold the day we filmed this, and I was in shorts!

Introducing Risen! ✝️ This album marks #18 of 26 from my Album Alphabet project. It's all about Jesus, but it’s also about rising to the call of His will for my life. It is by far the most biblical album I’ve done to date. I reference five different Bible verses in just one verse on my song, “Name’s Sake”.

Jesus died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf. (2 Corinthians 5:15)

This album is heavy boom-bap with a lot of biblical lyricism, but it also has a touch of some other genres. There is plenty of my signature sound, but you’ll find surprises along the way.

P.S. I had originally chosen to title the album "Reach" but really liked someone's "Risen" suggestion and pivoted.
